I began working with natural and organic ingredients before the natural products industry exploded. I was told I was crazy for wanting to create a 100% organic mom & baby line of skincare products without fillers, synthetics and parabens, but I knew there was a connection between what we put on our skin and our health. So, I figured it out myself and helped to disrupt an industry. Let’s keep this momentum going.
Sustainable
I believe it’s our responsibility to know how our raw ingredients are grown and processed; what materials are used in our containers and packaging and what happens to them after the consumer has used up the product; what effect emissions from transportation have on our environment and ways we can minimize our footprint. Being a responsible creator, means understanding our impact; both positive and negative, and striving for continuous improvement.
Effective
Consumer safety and product efficacy are non-negotiable in product development. Understanding the purpose and constituents of each ingredient, how they interact in the formula, and what effect they have on the skin requires research and knowledge of ingredients and formulation. Natural ingredients can be tricky to work with and so much of what I have learned has come from literally thousands of hours of working with them to craft products my customers rave about.
